Now is the Hour

Many thanks to all the breath-holders around the world. You were in good company - breath was being held here too. I've managed to put another few rows on the WRS and I have done a few rounds on the fourth second sock. Having my eyes glued to the snooker on TV has meant quite a bit of action on the Kerry Blue, so that is coming along too.

Your task, if you choose to accept it, is to skittle along to Lucia's blog and vote for me in the blog contest. It turns out that this blog is in the "minor categories" , and there is only one other blog nominated. I don't want to play dirty but I think I would have to throw in the lace towel if I were beaten by a blog where this was the best we could hope for. Does that look like a candidate for You Knit What? or what? But then all the commenters said it was "cute" - maybe I'm the one out of step?

It's in your hands.

Oh...my. To each his own, I suppose. I'm in your camp on this one, so you've got my vote :)

hello,
i didn't even know i WAS nominated for a blog contest, but when i read your post i was a little hurt, because i have posted numerous complex lace objects all year, and you chose to make fun of just one item that you happened not to like.
my designs are maybe not what you would make, but i don't see that it requires you to denigrate my work.

getting along with others and being known for a generous spirit will always mean more to me than winning a contest and i am happy to give you the prize . . .

Hmmm, maybe you should listen to what my mother used to say, she always taught us that when you don't have anything nice to say, why say anything at all and I happen to LOVE that skirt, I also have seen her AMAZING lace projects and well, let's just say, I scrolled for yours and well, not to much there now is it!! Here is a wealth of information for you all rolled up into one...it is better to remain silent and let people THINK your an idiot than to speak and remove all doubt....by the way.....you have spoken!

I have done my duty and clicked away to vote for you :) In my blogging hiatus I learned a lesson. Never knit lace in varigated yarn. Just don't do it. You see I was paying attention when you knitted MS1 I just chose to disregard you.

I have learned my lesson.

It is good to be back. Here's hoping you win an award you certainly deserve it

All I can say is: Ab Fab Throw. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
